Bosch Washing Machine Error Code F01
Water intake timeout — machine failed to fill within the expected time
The most common cause of the F01 error on a Bosch washing machine is water tap closed or partially open (~40% of cases); start with: open the water tap fully.
What Does Error Code F01 Mean on a Bosch Washing Machine?
Water intake timeout — machine failed to fill within the expected time.
The control board monitors the flow meter and pressure sensor during the fill phase. F01 (also shown as E01) fires when the expected water volume is not reached before the fill timer expires — the board sees too little inflow. This points to a supply-side restriction rather than a drain fault. It differs from E17/F17, which flag an aquastop or leak-protection trip, and from drain-timeout codes, which occur when water cannot leave the tub.

Here are the most common causes in order of frequency. Start with the most likely cause before moving to the next:

- 2 Inlet hose kinked or fill-filter blocked 30% of cases
- 3 Low household water pressure (below 1 bar) 20% of cases
